Adora Downs Country Wedding

Hannah and Daniel’s Adora Downs country wedding was beautiful beyond words. They are both true country people at heart and wanted a rustic feel for their special day. We had their engagement session in Brisbane city a couple of months ago which was completely the opposite of Hannah and Daniel’s wedding. It so great to see my clients chose this way as I love the contrast. Adora Downs is such a magnificent place if you’re looking for an authentic country style wedding. Stay over for the night with your friends and family that way nobody has to drive and can enjoy a couple of drinks. The owners Michael and Michelle are ever so lovely making sure everything is taken care of.

I arrived at Adora, feeling the excitement in the air. The girls were super busy getting ready while the boys were more chilled and having a couple of beers, enjoying their free time. Hannah’s dress was absolutely stunning, it’s so nice to see a long-sleeved wedding dress for a change. The fabric, lace and embroidery were out of this world, so beautiful fitting her like a satin glove. The girls’ bridesmaid dresses were all hand made by Hannah’s Mum Tanya. She is so talented, and couldn’t have done a better job, they looked gorgeous on the girls.

Hannah told me her fab idea of arriving at the ceremony on her horse Morven, a magnificent stallion. I jumped for joy!  It’s lovely to make a wedding so personal and this was a unique way to do it.
I married underwater (see my 1st blog 😉 ) it was so us as divers and we loved every moment of it. I always say, “do what feels right for you and your lover, not what is expected”.

After the ceremony we had plenty of time for the portrait and bridal session, Adora has so many beautiful and gorgeous spots to take photos. Not to forget the cool swing they have! The weather gave us a perfect light and cloud display.  As a professional photographer not limited to natural light, I made sure we used those lovely colours in the sky. Always ask your photographer to explain how they use flash to get the most out of your wedding day.

Hannah and Daniel hired me till 6 pm which covered the bride and groom prep up to the entrance at the reception. If you would like to have the first dance, the family having fun and the bridal couple leaving the premises, I recommend a few more hours coverage.

I wish Hannah & Daniel many years of health, love & happiness! XxX Karin

“She was absolutely amazing for our engagement and wedding we couldn’t have asked for a better photographer and we would be getting her again in the future for a family session.
