Oh boy, I have been flat out these last couple of months with shooting and editing weddings but I have finally managed to find some time to blog this fantastic engagement session. I met Fiona and Darren for the first time, the day we had their engagement session, but it was so relaxed it felt like we had known each other for ages.
We decided to meet at Mt.Coot-tha Botanic Gardens and enjoyed the last rays of light before the sun was going down completely. Mt. Coot-tha is such a cool place for photography, with lots of pretty places like the Japanese Garden, the pontoon at the lagoon, the lookout on Brisbane city to name a few.
One of the wonderful things about having an engagement session with your wedding photographer is that it’s a great way to break the ice. You can see me in action with my gear but it’s also a fantastic way to get familiar with who I am and what I do. I recommend it even more especially if one of you is particularly shy or doesn’t feel very comfortable in front of the camera. It’s such a great way for couples to get to know me as a person too, so when your big day has arrived, I’m not a stranger anymore, but a friend with a camera who knows a thing or two. 😉
Thank you, Fiona and Darren, for trusting me for creating some epic engagement images together, can’t wait to capture your beautiful wedding in Buderim in October! XxX Karin
